Use language as a research choice.
Ask which language and format participants are comfortable with. A literal translation can preserve the words while changing how a question feels. Pilot the discussion guide and check that product, payment and delivery terms mean what the research team thinks they mean.
Ask about an actual occasion.
A recent purchase provides more useful detail than a broad question about what people normally like. Explore the trigger, alternatives, concerns, decision and post-purchase experience. Avoid leading the participant toward the proposition the team hopes to validate.
Document who was heard.
Record recruitment criteria, market, category and relevant purchase experience. A small interview sample can explain a pattern; it cannot establish how common that pattern is across India. Separate qualitative insight from representative measurement.
Translate findings into a decision.
Link each finding to a product-information, discovery, service or positioning question. Note the confidence level and the evidence needed next. Research earns its place when the next decision becomes clearer.
Bring a real question.
Be ready to challenge the plan.
Put the customer need, the evidence and the commercial outcome on the table. A recommendation should be able to defend its place.
Put your brief forwardAn original strategic framework. No completed client study or measured brand result is claimed.
